The bowie is a Hibben "Musso" style bowie. One made by Gil is on display at the Alamo. The small upswept blade is one I haven't seen Gil make in the last 18 years. The fighting blade is Gil's Ed Parker knife. Gil gave a similar knife to Elvis. It was Gil's black belt thesis knife . Ed Parker was Gil and Elvis Kenpo Karate teacher. All knives are of considerable value. The Musso blade is not too different from the Bowie in the upcoming Expendables movie. Gil made the knife with a micarta handle and I scrimmed the tattoo from the Expendables on it. Later HutcH

Oh my the picture size is dazzling. It would help alot if you could shrink them down a bit, these have to be straight off the camera right?

Looks like a sturdy thing you've made there (small one). The bowie was especially nice. May I ask what the sheath of brass folded around the spine is for by the way? It reminds me of extremely fine dovetail saws that are so thin they need to be backed at the spine.
Beautiful in any case, two thumbs up!

The edge can take a bit more polish though ;) (I'm a polisher by profession so please don't get mad, those kind of knives rarely need very refined edges)

The brass will not spark if struck. That way a knife could be hit on the blade to open even a powder keg. And they like the way it looked.HutcH
