I got word from Mary Koons, one of our members that her husband Wayne, also an iKC member, is having surgery.

Here's her message to me: "Wayne has to go in next Tuesday for tests and then on Wednesday he is to have a defibulator put in, we hope this goes well. "

Let us keep Wayne and Mary in our thoughts and prayers this week.
I pray that God will bless you in this time of need. He knows of your situation and is already working on the issue. I also pray that you will find the faith to continue to server him with a loving heart. Back in 2006 my son got leukemia and have been enduring treatments ever sense. But with God's blessings he is recovering completely. I we do understand the difficult time you are in. God bless and keep the faith and it will all work out for this glory and your benefit.

5.6.09 Update from Mary on Wayne's condition:

"Thank you and the other folks for the prayers. We went Memphis yesterday and the Dr's discovered a lot more problems. We are waiting for word now , best guess is Mpnday for open heart surgery to do 2 bypass repairs and remove scartissue from the lower part of the heart,so if you qould keep the prayer lines open, With thanks and appreciation. Mary Koons."
Sorry to hear this our payers go with you and him . Please keep us informed
Wayne emailed me to let us know he is having heart surgery next Tue. the 12th. He called it just some warranty work :)

Mary... My prayers are with you both. Please let me say something that will maybe put you at ease. This won't be a really BIG deal. He'll come through just fine. In today's world, this is pretty routine, and the survival rate is about 100%. Don't worry. Just place it on the Lord.

I see we have not used this space latley and thought now, with all the storm deaths this week it would be a good time to pray for those communities that have lost so much and so many.  Lord give them peace as they move on to this next stage of thier lives.
God bless everyone. I will pray for them. My heart is heavy with prayer for them.
I followed a comment section after an article on the deaths and damage and it just floored me with some of the comments made. Some people need to get out a little more and quit blaming things on everything under the sun. Politics, God's wrath, racsist remarks and what type of dwelling people live in. These people just need prayers and help to put their lives back together. Nature is not a respecter of persons or guided by some of the things that were said. It was just bad weather that did a lot of damage. This may not have been the place for me to say this, but I have thought about it all day and had to get it off my chest. Thank you, Jan for asking prayer for these displaced people. My heart and prayers  go out to them that have lost family and homes.
my god bless all those in need at this difficult time.our prayers are with them....
I certainly agree Billy.

Miss Jan, tragedy most of the time will bring out the good or bad in a person. Steady losing means they aint using what they really think is right! Thats enough of me preaching. I just pray for the good people.
