The last line below should read 25 to 100

The Premier Grade for CM-1 and CM-2 was 1 - 12  14k gold bolsters and inlay. fFor CM-3 - CM-8 Premier grade was 1 -24 and again bolsters and inlays were 14k Gold.  CM-9 the handles were Sterling Silver and the inlay was 14k Gold, after that the Premier Grade just had fancyier engraving and blade etching until the 35th Anniversary knife with 1-25 and 14k gold bolsters and inlay.

Excelsiour Grade had engraved bolsters  and begining with CM-3 and FH-1 began with serial number 235 to 100.

Another question for AG collectors how does the serial number effect the value of these knives.  I understand that 1-25 is premium knives but how valuable do you concider a 001 serial number would be?

Thanks

Les

Wow, that is really interesting, Mr. AG. I wish, we had a better picture of it. Good luck with the big show.

111 indicates that it is a knife from one of the three hundred sets celebrating the 111th anniversary of the Bertram company and the Hen & Rooster Trademark.  These sets sold for about $300 and had ten knives handled in Ivory, Pearl, Stag and Horn.  The sets now sell for about $2,000 each.

If you want to see my coffin handle Hen and Rooster, go to a Box Full of Knives, then Hen and Rooster mini group, second page. You will find it there. I'm sure you will like it. I'm not familuar with model 111, I'll have to look it up.

The number on the knife is 111 and the seller called it a cigar knife.

Les, they are great. The picture of the first one is hard to see though. I have the same modle as the second one but mine has different handle scales. I like that model alot with it's coffin handles and spear type blade. What model is the first one?

I have 2 new AG hen & Roosters

Here they are

What I love is how thick the nickel liners are really makes a difference in the quality of these knives.
