File work knives....
i've been inspired by Robs recent video where he puts file work on the blade of a cKc hicker blade. i havent been making knives very long, so i have never tried this method before. i have allways seen it on other knives, but never got a chance to see how it was done till i saw rob do it. so i thought, "i can do that!" and i have. of course, its not as good as some of the ones i see on here, but it is still good indeed.
does anyone have any hints, tips, or advice they could give to someone who either hasnt tried it, or has limited exoerience in doing it? what are the basic files you use, (square, triangle,flat...) how do you lay out your pattern?

Personally i think filework looks better when done with a round file (i can get old chainsaw files free whenever my dad breaks em) but that looks like a very good start, i did some on an old kitchen knife.. i'll dig that up and get y'all pics.
