Case Identification Help

I could use a little help identifying this Case folding knife..and possibly its worth.

I dont really know alot about this knife but i am going around trying to find someone that does. I cant even find another picture of one anywhere and i have searched the internet for hours on end.

any help would be appreciated.

Also note, i think i have dated this knife correctly using the stamp and the logo on the sheath. And i BELIEVE it to be from 1920-1940...somewhere in there from what i have found.

This is a 551 (Tested XX) pattern. Most books will show this listed between $1000 to $1200 in mint condition.

Your time period is correct and Brad has given you the pattern number. The knife appears to be in fine condition, but is not mint, as you probably knew. It appears to have been sharpened a time or two. I believe it is called an anti-garotte knife.

Hi looks like you got your information. We have one also and love it. If your sheath is the original, that will add a lot to your value since they are as hard or harder to find as the knife. Even though it is not mint, it is still a great knife that people do not find often which also should add to the value. Take care, Stephanie
