I've seen a couple of these advertised. Can anyone tell me about the conversion process? Is it as easy as converting the CRKT Elishewitz Pharaohs & Anubis'? The Lake P.A.L.'s apparently aren't in production by Columbia River anymore, but they are still available and I'd like to get one and convert it myself rather than buy one that's already converted.

All button lock knives seem fairly easy to convert. I've seen quite a few CRKT conversions and also Bokers. Basically you need to cut a channel for the spring in the bolster and then put a small hole in the blade for the spring to attach to, if you've ever replaced a coil spring in an auto knife you'll be pretty much set to go
here's some instructions

you can buy the arbour drills from him or at knifekits.com.which is where he gets them.they aslso have a dvd on converting button locks to full auto
Thanks for your response. I'm familiar with the assistedknife.com website and followed his directions to convert a CRKT Pharaoh, which worked out great. It already had the necessary channels and holes cut from the factory and I was actually asking if anyone knew if the Lake P.A.L. also was precut or if it would be necessary to cut them myself. Thanks again!
I honestly don't know. I was curious about this with another knife a few years ago.that was the boker magnum.and with them apparantly some are drilled out, and some aren't. I can't see it being much of a job though because I have seen them as conversions. In fact I believe converting any button lock knife would be fairly straigthforward.I've wondered about the Boker Wagner line because assisted knife sells them as well...........best of luck anyway
The newer Boker's are NOT factory drilled. Something to do with the Benchmade lawsuit is what I heard, but the earlier one's were all factory drilled and I dropped springs in 8 different models. Thanks again for your responses.
