Hi Glenn, I own a Hissatsu folder and have for about 6 months. It's my favorite CRKT knife. (I've owned about a half-dozen over the years.) It's well made, on the heavy side for its size, and quite attractive. The assisted opening is lightning fast, and smooth. Lock up is solid, and appears dependable. The blade style is unique, and perfect for piercing/stabbing. The handle is comfortable, has a light stippling for grip. The knife comes with a pocket clip, but no lanyard hole.........I own many knives, and always have a few choices available. I usually have 3 on my person, a small multi-tool, a mid-size EDC blade, and a large defensive knife. While I consider this a fine defensive knife, I don't like it for EDC. (odd blade, weight) I've never carried this knife for more than a day or two, it just doesn't seem to "ride" in the pocket well.(even with clip removed)................If you don't mind a recommendation, I would suggest a SOG Trident as a better alternative CARRY knife. It's light weight, has a better "general purpose" clip style blade, and a better designed pocket clip for deeper pocket carry(and more secure). I also prefer the "arc-lok", and coil spring drive. The price is about the same...........Hope this helps with your choice,......Dave.

Dave, Thanks so very much for the prompt responce to my post. Indeed the blade style is unique, perhaps that is what was very first to capture my attention. I think I will end up in time just buying one reguardless of the negatives to making it a EDC. I have several options as well that I stuff in my pockets daily : - ). Thanks for the SOG recomentation as well. I Own a Tomcat 3.0 and simply love it ! Only thing I dislike is there is no pocket clip and to carry I end up with it in the sheath on my belt (not a sheath person) Or floating in my pocket, this too I am not crazy about LOL. But SOG's products are top notch in general. I was debating about a SOG within this decision as well for a EDC. Personaly I don't like the "cut out" In the handle of the Trident, but SOG does other assisted openers as well I will be looking about. Thanks for taking time to write and give your input. Perhaps the Hissatsu will become part of the collection as well just for kicks. Thanks again. Glenn
