Counterfeit Watch- Lookout for these toenails

We all see toenails that need repair when they are for sale. Here I'd like to catalog these knives so we can have a reference should we see them later, only then they'll be all fixed up.

I'll add one to the list. It sold on eBay today. Its masterblade is missing. Memorize the pen blade shape. If it shows up later, it will either have both blades replaced with fake C. Platts or W. R. Case stamped blades, or it will only have the masterblade replaced with a C. Platts masterblade. I'll go on record to say the odds of someone having both a pen and masterblade for a Jumbo stamped Platts will be very rare.

The odds of someone having a spare Jumbo C. Platts masterblade laying around is slim- possible but doubtful. The buyer might have a junker Jumbo C. Platts he is going to take the mb out of, which would be fine, in my book.

Bottomline: The knife will call for a careful look if it ever can be id'd later.
