Comment by Jeremi Lett on December 24, 2011 at 10:15 Hey all Hibben knife enthusiasts!I just posted a new youtube video w/a few of my Hibben Fantasy blades. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=eouC33...
Comment by Tobias Gibson on October 13, 2011 at 18:15 Can anyone tell me much about the United Cutlery Gil Hibben IV machete. This is the knife used in the last Rambo movie, the one they showed Stallone forging.
I've seen some very mixed reviews. What steel is used in the blade and how thick is it? Is it worth the $45 people are charging? Is it more decoration than it is work-horse?
Here is a stock photo for those who don't know what I'm talking about:

Comment by stephen tungate on September 18, 2011 at 10:47 Well, the Damascus version is available from Amazon for $83.18 marked down from $237.. (153.82 saving from MSRP) so even with shipping & handling, brokerage fees, VAT, duties it should come in around $120-$130 as long as you're not shipping it next day delivery...You probably won't find it cheaper and Amazon is reasonable in overseas shipping charges.
I was wrong--Amazon's partner company Hand Tool Review has it on for $66.48 and they have all the shipping routes displayed for worldwide delivery.
