I'm taking JTs concept, except changing it around a little bit, what movie or TV show have you seen that featured a quality flashlight. Or you seen a situation that was highly unlikely and would make us cringe. A couple that got me were:

Taking Maglites caving in "The Descent"

or that they even own a Surefire M6, and can evidently keep batteries in it, in a post-apocalyptic situation, like in "Resident Evil: Apocalypse".

so what lights have you seen, or situations that you have noticed?

The Descent is a GREAT movie !

The Descent: Part 2 was not quite as great, but still had some good scenes. I noticed in that movie, one of the flashlight failed, flickered on and off. I thought it was an unfair representation of the light. It looked like they were using maglites in that one, too.

I have seen lights being used on CSI and Law & Order, and wondered what they were but you never get a close enough view.

I agree it is a great movie, I watched part 2 last week and even though everything was pretty much done the same way, it just didn't work. I don't know about you, but if I went caving I would not take a D cell maglite, way to big and heavy to be crawling around with, A round of Fenix LD20's would be perfect. They are lighter, brighter, and easier to carry. Carrying spare batteries would be much easier as well.

You know, when I was watching that movie, I thought the SAME THING. The only advantage in carrying the D-cell maglite would be to crush the skull of an attacking cave crawler. But, my Fenix TK12 can be an effective strike weapon, as well. :)

I saw a Fenix  tk-45 on the  tv series of fringe season 3 episode 13.
