How many Hoosiers out there make their own knives? Do you make your own blades or buy them? What kind of handle material do you like to use? How long have you been making your own knives?

Hey, i just got into making my own knives. i found most of the information i needed on Youtube. i buy my blades online, so far i have gotten them on Ebay. I dont havea handle material that i prefer yet, i am looking forward to using antler stag for a handle soon.
I buy, I don't have money, machines or experience to make my own as much as I would love to. I do make aluminum knuckle dusters though.
knuckle dusters huh? thats cool! what kind of tools do you need to make those? where do you buy your material? how long does it take to make one, and what got you started?

I use a power drill, a dremel with some metal cutting bits, some files and sandpaper. I get my metal online at speedymetals.com the best price I can find for aluminum with no minimum purchase. It takes about 6 hours to make a full 4-fingered set. I actually saw a youtube "how to" video last year and that inspired me. Eventually I felt I had progressed enough to make a youtube channel about knuckle dusters and the rest is history :P
Well, I make all my own knives. You can check out my website and see how I do it. Need help, just call me.
