Fishing and NOT Knives
Well I dont know the rest of you all but I certainly am ready for some warm weather. The warm weather means to me it is time to do some FISHING. I cant wait to hear that baitrunner screaming with a fish on the end of the line. Thats when the excitement starts.
He will put a battle and the closer he gets to the shore the harder it will be to get him in. I fish on the bottom for mostly carp and they sure can put a great fight. I do the catch release system. Look at one of my pics and you see one from last year. Maybe this year I can catch one much bigger.
How many of you like to fish and what do you like to catch and do you know of any good bank fishing spots?

I'm with Sheila, I'm ready for some warm weather I do a little fishing mainly bluegill and a large mouth bass now and then. But unlike you if their of size I break out the ole fillet knife and go to work.

Sheila you know i feel the same way you do! i am ready for fishing!! i dont do ice fishing, never have and dont plan on it. i plan on going fishing as soon as possible!
my first free weekend is the 20th, and i am planning on going down to the lake and throwing in a line. i am not sure about what the weather is supposed to be, but i am hoping its good enough to get some fishing in!
i normally fish for Bluegills, or crappie. occasionally ill fish for a Bass. last year i got into fly fishing, and really enjoy it.
now that i am out of school i will be able to get alot more fishing in this summer.
maybe we can go fishing together this summer Sheila? i am not that experienced in carp fishing, maybe you can teach me something? -

Sounds great Jeff I would love to do some fishing with ya. We have to do most of if not all of our fishing through the week since we do the shows on weekends. I try to take at least one weekend off a month to be with my family and participate with them in some cornhole or playing some phase 10 cards. I just like being with my family. I remember last year our first time for fishing was on March 17th St. Pat's day and it was quite warm that I ended up with a sunburn. Then the weather got cool again. I sure hope we can get some warm days this month and let the lakes thaw out. I am more experienced with bottom fishing. I have been fishing for carp and cat for about 30 yrs or close to it. I love it when they hook themselves and all you have to do is reel them in. That can be hard sometimes to. You have yo keep them on the line. Glad your done with school and CONGRATS Jeff. HURRAY. i am going fishing tomorrow! i know its supposed to rain, and possibly snow, but i have planned this a month ahead, and been looking forward to it for over 3 months! so i am going to have fun and make the most of it.

well guys, it is 6:00am Saturday morning. it is NOT raining. it is NOT snowing! a look at the radar shows the storm is still far west of Chicago.
I AM GOING FISHING!!!!!!!
i am not sure how much time i have, but i will make the best of it!
i am going to Bass Lake in Winamac. its an hour drive south east, and should buy me some more time.
we got a high of 43 degrees and its 36 right now! its going to be a cold one, but I'll manage!
Lord help me.... I'm going fishing!

well, i did have a great time today! i did not catch any fish though, but still a good time.
we went to Bass Lake, and found it to be very windy, and very shallow! you need waders or a boat to fish that lake! so we checked it out and decided to head further south to Tippecanoe River!
Tippecanoe was great! we had a great time fishing, hiking, and making some fires! the current was fast, so i did some bottom fishing. the sites were great!
the weather was beautiful the whole time! we didnt see any rain till we got closer to home. wife said it had been raining most of the day. so we made a good decision going south.
