Indiana Cutlery Companies

Since we are an Indiana Residents club..just thought maybe some of you might collect knives made by Indiana companies. I can only think of 3 companies ( could be more) that made knives here in Indiana.
1. Indiana Cutlery Co. aka Wabash Cutlery Co. Terre Haute IN. 1921-1932
2. Van Camp Hardware co. Indianapolis, IN. used the Van Camp tang stamp 1888-1960
3. Van Camp Hardware & Iron Co. Indianapolis, IN. Owned Capital Cutlery Co. Used the Capital Cut. tang stamp. 1876-1960.
If you know of more Indiana cutlery companies...lets hear it. Also pictures of any knife made by these old Indiana companies would be great.

A Wabash Cutlery knife with gold stone handles and a Van Camp knife with celluloid handles.

those are neat knives Brad! do you own these? i have never heard of Indiana made knives! that is so cool that they exist! thanks fro sharing!

The knives in the pictures I don't own. I found these pics on Ebay...when I was doing my daily scanning of knives on Ebay...which gave me the idea to start this discussion. I have owned several of the brands that I mentioned....mostly in my early days of collecting but I either sold them off or traded them for something that I was more interested in. Back then...they didn't bring much money....Today they will bring crazy prices if you can even find one.

all the Van Camp knives i found are made in Germany. you found a real deal!

Here is a box lid that I came across at a flea market recently. Layman-Cary Company (Keen-Edge). This is the first that I have heard of this knife company that apparently was based in Indianapolis. Still researching it.

Well so far I have not had much luck on finding anything out on this Indianapolis company. I have spent alot of time with google and other search engines. The only info I have found is the company was in business from 1873 - 1915.
