Mad Dwarf Workshop- Hammer-In and open shop event

On Sat August 28th we plan on hosting a sword themed Hammerin, open shop event, & smelt at our workshop here in beautiful rural New Castle Indiana.

Our last hammerin was on very short notice, more geared towards family & friends (noobs to bladesmithing), and only a couple bladesmiths could make it out for that day.
But this time round we plan on having a lot more serious bladesmith goodness in store for the day. And we would absolutely love for as many of you guys here on the forum to attend if possible.

The day's events will be from 11:00am - to around 10:00pm


Cost will be $20 a person to cover expenses and meals for the day.
Vendors to sell whatever bladesmithing related items you wish and tailgating is welcomed at no additional fee.

So far what we have planned:

- 4 open forges and all shop tools for anyone to use on any project.
- Live music from my dads bluegrass band "the Peach Pickers"
- Hands on display of all of our past (non commission) MDW work.
- Awesome food and a delicious sheep roast by our good buddies Shad & Seth.
- Plenty of demo's which are still in the planning stages (details to on demonstrators soon to come)
- And lastly a smelt...

We plan on having a simple smelt setup for the day.
But we will be having several able bodied experienced guys on hand to get something great fired up.
