David Anthony's Great Eastern Cutlery.  Easy read and extremely interesting about how that area developed.  I also likes his Tidioute, a town with an edge.  I would love to find a copy of the Knives that went west and read it

The Little Girl & the Cigarette, Benoit Duteure, ISBN 13: 978-1-933633-12-1 .. a rather entertaining social commentary.

At The Earths Core .. Pelludidar .. Tanar of Pellucidar , trilogy by Edgar Rice Burroughs, my copy has only the Library of Congress Card #: 63-17927 for the collected works .. simply a FUN read.

Me, Katherine Hepburn, ISBN: 0-679-40051-6 .. I like her !!!

The Nitemare Decade .. The Life and Times of Senator Joe McCarthy, Fred J. Cook, ISBN: 0-394-46270-x, Library of Congress Card # 74-102320 .. a description of evil spawned in my native state (WI).

On Borrowed Time, Lawrence Edward Watkin, out of print but worth the search .. tracked a copy down after watching the 1939 movie rendition w/ Lionel Barrymore, Sir Cedric Hardwicke, Beulah Bondi .. I'm rather partial to Lionel.

Ok, I´m number 13 then... The Best book about Finnish Puukko knives in English is: Collectable Knives of Finland by Lester C. Ristinen ISBN 0-9626839-1-4. He had wroten also The Knives of Finland ISBN 0-9626839-0-6. There is many other great books about Puukko knives, but those are in Finnish.

Alright! This looks like a cool site. Well, the last serious knife book I read from cover to cover was about the Case Cutlery Dynasty. I bought it and read it through when I was thinking I wanted to make a try on collecting cases knives. Since then I have changed my mind as they only have two patterns I really like, one which has been vaulted, and the other that they are making a limited production of. I just can't get enthused with that brand for a number of reasons, but the book was interesting and well written.
Other books I enjoy are mostly non-fiction / historical, involving a wide range of subjects. But yes, I do have at least three books on knife collecting. Its the best investment BEFORE buying anything. I just take the time to get as much info as possible regarding future purchases, even though I've used every knife I buy.

I am reading Ghost Soldiers by Hampton Sides...In it they talk about how the Signal Corps Engineers used their bolo knives to chop notches in trees . The notches were used to run communication cables in the tree branches..So far I really like the book..I had never heard of the Cabanatuan prison camp rescue before...
