What knife book would you like to see written

I am waiting for The History of Knives -book, written by true specialists. I hope that there is some archaelocies, knifemakers and historians writing it together. The book tells the story of knife from very early times to today. It includes true stories about knives from different areas and manufacturers and so on... Probably it will be more like a book serie than a single book.

I have many times noticed that there is great books about specific knife makers or knives, but it is hard to find good general knive book with more than basic information.

Please, let me know if this kind of book already exist.

I don't think you will find a book like that one !!! I own several books from the Dewey Ferguson's Romance of Knife Collecting also his Romance of Case Knife Collecting, to Steve Pfeiffer's Collecting Case Knives! I have numerous other books I use while researching some knife I am interested in, just one book does not cover it all sorry!!!!!

I would like to see a book written of history and highly illustrated about  American Knives of the era 1900-1940.

one that includes new patents and diagrams of improvements and the people who were involved. 

Skip the pricing issues and just add all the interesting developments of the time.  ex. I found recently an article with pics of Case knives sales receipt showing physicians knives $1.oo a Doz.

Things like this would sell a book to me.
