We don't just wake up one day and say "I think I'll become collector today." What do you remember are some of your first collections and do you still have any of those items?

Hi everyone. I also collect vintage corkscrews and other wine related items.  This includes old advertising, price lists, prints, articles, cards, stoppers, pourers, champagne nippers, and misc wine paraphenalia.

Jan,

I need to have my head examined.   It  appears that I've started collecting corkscrews/bottle openers (bartender tools) by accident!   Sort of a spill over from the small collection of bartender knives I've already got.

PS. I'll need to look for GEC and Case playing cards.

Jan Carter Comment by Jan Carter on November 5, 2011 at 6:11pm

Tobias,

You need a deck of GEC playing cards!  George, show us some coins?

I've always been a collector.  First it was rocks, then I moved on to arrowheads and shark teeth, then stamps, fishing lures, and various trading cards.  Now I've become addicted to ammunition, coins, and knives.

Shot glasses, beer mugs, decks of  playing cards

Welcome Larry. Now I'd love to learn more about your camera collection :)

Andy, The 3rd from the left is a 1894 GG .44Mag with a 16.1" factory barrel. It shots pretty good and matches my S&W M29 .44Mag!

That is one sweet collection. The Marlin lever action is the world standard. I've often dreamed of buying a 44mag one to share ammo with my revolver, real Texas cowboy style. Happy trails, and here's to the 10-ring and the deer.

And this is JUST my Marlins.

Andy that is very interesting, but the story at the end is best! You slide dog you :)
Thanks for the energy in helping us understand. I was hoping you'd answer like this...I guess I can say "understand." Thank goodness the advent of electronic circuitry and smart folks like you.
