Comment by johnny twoshoes on June 24, 2012 at 13:55 Robert, the plan is to wade out with lawn chairs and to fish on a hot summers night. We already used kayaks to get out there and it was easy as could be.
Comment by johnny twoshoes on June 24, 2012 at 12:53 Hey guys, my buddy just bought a camp and I should have a ton of pics in and around it this year. We spent all day there yesterday, but it was for clean up and prep. It was looking pretty primitive and needed whipped into shape, it looks great now and will prove to be an awesome getaway. It's right on the Allegany and it looks like the fishing will be good.
The problem is you have to wade out through about thirty yards of shallow water and mud, but once you get out a third of the way across the water, there is a huge hole.
We saw a bold eagle when we first got there, but no camera as it was a work day. Next time I'm there, pics pill follow.
Oh Herb, enter your fishing pictures in the contest above, they must be in that discussion.
Great camp Herb, we use to camp like that years ago. We wrapped the outside with a tarp.
Comment by johnny twoshoes on June 16, 2012 at 8:26 Boy, that GEC looks right at home.
Great catch and keep it up.
Some things have come up and our fishing trip has been delayed. Hopefully once things settle down, we'll get out there.
These are the fish I caught this A.M. A great little mess of Sac au Lait to fry for my grand girls on friday or fry day..lol I took a few pictures of how to butterfly the top of the fish, so that it frys better. If you remove the darsol fin on the fishes back it cooks alot better. It's sotta like butterflying shirmp, the hot grease can get in there and cook it alot better. I hope some of ya'll are able to get out and wet a line, good luck, my friend.
