Permalink Reply by Rick "HutcH" Hutchings on June 23, 2011 at 7:24 Your perspective is good and all art is good. The problem with antler is it is soft and will not allow great detail. In the future after the handle is sanded to 600 coat the area for scrim with super glue and let it set up for a couple of days sand it again with 600 and buff it so you leave the super glue as a surface. You can now put more detail and retain better color because the ink will only go into the scrimmed area instead of soaking into the antler. I hope this will help you add detail...HutcH
