Comment by Patrik Ilijev on May 10, 2012 at 17:16 Thank you I was more curious as to the rarity of two spiders.Thank you for the info about seconds and spyderco you have helped me alot thanks again.:)
Comment by Keijo on May 10, 2012 at 16:55 Just thought to make sure. :) I'm jsut really baffled at how something like this gets past quality checking. If it troubles you, I'm sure Spyderco would replace it. But it's really an oddity so won't hurt keeping it, and it surely won't hinder its performance.
It was used. There are no notches on the spine I paid one twenty with shiping
Comment by Keijo on May 8, 2012 at 14:56 Frank, the fact that you got the double-Bug Military from eBay and it didn't have a box got me suspicious. It couldn't have been a dealer as dealers always include a box. Was it being sold as new or used and how much did you pay for it?
Now, it looks real and I haven't seen any Military fakes that were that good. So it is from the Spyderco factory, but I got thinking if it could be a factory second.
Spyderco's factory seconds have a tiny notch at the spine where the jimping is (if there is jimping), its a round machined notch, looks like the ones on these:

Comment by Keijo on May 6, 2012 at 16:32 Where did you purchase it Frank? Also could you take a look at the box for the 2 capital letters that tell the month and year of manufacture.
