Thanks Kent, I love a working knife, something you can actually use, sharpen and use again.
I am trying to remember that 70's model, but beleive its not all that different from what they make today.

Permalink Reply by KENT GABLE on May 20, 2011 at 17:14 Unfortunately the early Buck Stockmans of the late 60's & 70's were a completely different knife. The blades were thinner & the clip blade was a flat desisign with a long nail groove. The blades were all a dull finished SS compared with the brighter chrome like SS used in today's USA made models. They were just as strong despite their thinner design.I'm missing the escution plate on my old Stockman which was narrower & longer than today's plates. If anyone knows where I could purchase a replacement, I would be very appreciative. The factory was of no help.

Permalink Reply by johnny twoshoes on June 7, 2011 at 17:10 Buck's stockman is a tank, I love the rugged look and feel, they're a knife I trust when in use. I'm hoping to EDC one for a long time to come, and I'm thinking this squirrel season will help solidify a relationship with these knives.
