Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I would like to share some pictures that I have taken recently of three of my less common and currently discontinued Stainless Steel Victorinox Knives. I have labeled them for identification purposes and will include a brief description of each with the help of the SAKWiki.

Here are my Victorinox Stainless Steel SAK's...

The Broker is the smallest at only 58mm. It is almost identical to the more common Victorinox Classic. The difference being that the Broker does not include the toothpick and tweezers which are found on the more common cellidor scaled Classic. The Broker has machined (or turned) Stainless Steel scales and is one of the thinnest Swiss Army Knives and is very similar to the Ensign which does not have a keyring.

The Director is a Stainless Steel handled version of the Victorinox 74mm Executive model. Like most of the Stainless Steel models the scales can have a few different Guilloché designs. The unusual shaped tool just to the left of the Victorinox pin is designed to peel oranges as well as provide a small flathead screwdriver. It's actually quite ingenious. The tool to the immediate right of the scissors also includes a Fingernail File on the opposite side.

The Victorinox Prince is a very slim one layer knife that includes only 3 tools. The earlier versions may include different variations of the Nail File with Cleaner Tip.

So, these are my Stainless Steel Victorinox Swiss Army Knives. Do you have any that you would like to share? I would welcome any photographs or comments you might have about your Stainless Steel SAK's. Please jump on in ~ The water's fine!

Very Cool, Ron.  I love them!

Thanks, Tobias! I appreciate your comment!

Here are two additional photographs that I had taken. This one shows the machine turned designs in the scales a little bit better..

And this next one is pretty funny in that, while I was taking the pictures, a very curious Jumping Spider kept inserting himself in all of the shots. He would jump from one knife to the next and was actually pretty funny to watch. Here is one of those photographs where he can be seen Photobombing my Broker. (Click on the pic for full resolution)

Great write up and photos Ron! I too have an affinity for the SS 74mm SAK's. There are at least 3 different designs for the machine work or engine turned as Victorinox calls it. Victorinox simply states model numbers with the last 2 digits as design numbers that are slightly different. I will try and get some recent photos of what I have in SS.

Thanks, Wayne!

I would appreciate any input that you might have. I consider you to be the Alpha and Omega of all things Victorinox (Wenger, too). I have learned much from you, my friend! Great to see your typeface! It's been a while.

Cheers!

Well sickness cause me great discomfort especially during summer when it is so hot. I have not been up to doing much photography or posting online lately but thought I would try and catch up some today. I am doing a write up on those little USB Flash  Drive knives from Victorinox right now. Still need some good photos though.

Well. I hope that you'll be feeling better soon, my friend. Your contributions have been sorely missed. I always look forward to your postings because I can usually glean a new kernel of knowledge from them. Feel better, Wayne! You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.
