Unique Open/Lock

For years designers invented alternative ways to open the knife and lock the blade. There are hundreds of differently constructed folders out there now-- and more will surely come.

What we're all about...

Folder design has brought out the best in people, especially in creative engineering. For years both knife makers and the manufacturers have come up with alternative ways to open the knife and lock the blade. There are probably several hundred differently constructed folders out there now-- and more will surely to come. Most of them will have been assigned new patent numbers, but this need not be a requirement for our group. Hopefully we can share pictures of our unique knives, ask questions, and learn something new.

Robert you can get this knife from ebay for 10.99$ with free shipping right here! Maybe if you will serch it,you can get it cheaper for your country. I just search everything what I can get to my country.

Ivars,

I'd like to buy one of those Chinese black folders. How can I get one? For your info, here are some old pics of my collection.

Found one interesting knife.

No brand made in china. Blade don't fold, only handle. Interseting!

Knife which I was drawing:

This is a Old AP Muffler shop folding pocket knife. I saw the same knife but in black plastic, maybe a litle bit slimer.

I'm still waiting for my new Higonokami from Japan. In the meantime, here are three other springless pocket knives. Unfortunately, I don't own an old penny knife.

Crawford- I think Pat designed this in the middle 1970's and had it made in Japan.

Boye- A small, dropped-edge folder made of high-quality cast SS and a nickel-silver case. This US maker specializes in boating knives.

Sheldon/Current- It was patented in 1966 for budding and grafting. English..

This drawing is from side, when you see pen blade from dull side.

Boker matic I think is only manual on close. This knife is manual on opening and close.
