Sounds like you had a good day.Did you have to travel far for the sale?
NO I ONLY HAD TO GO 15 MILES. THE ONLY TROUBLE WAS THE KNIVES WERE WAY DOWN AT THE LAST TABLE. THE AUCTIONER HAS A POLICY THAT IS KIND OF DIFFERENT. AFTER THE FIRST HOUR YOU CAN PUT UP A DOLLAR AND THEY WILL BRING YOUR PIECE UP AND WORK IT IN WITH THE REST OF THE AUCTION. EVERYBODY HAD THE SAME IDEA AND IT WAS TWO HOURS AFTER THE DOLLAR DEAL BEFORE THEY GOT TO THE KNIFE. THEN I WASNT THE ONLY ONE WANTING THE KNIFE SO I WILL HAVE TO GIVE UP EATING FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS.
Congrats! I'd love to get a switchblade.

One day maybe I'll "find" me a keeper.
There have been some nice ones on ebay but they are getting pretty pricy. The PRESS BUTTON brand with the button in the bolster and no safety lock are the rarest of the bunch. Once in a while you can even find one with a blade etch. Ebay tries to control the sale of these but once in a while one slips by. GOOD LUCK.
Had a guy contact me out of the blue back last Christmas- he was helping an estate liquidate. Shot me a pic of this puppy. He had been researching online and I guess found my toenail website. Now it is mine :)

Had a guy contact me the other day, his friend is a "picker" and found a Platts Jumbo Swellcenter worth several thousand for $14.00 at a street sale near Redding, California, so yes, Delbert- there are still old knives out there waiting to be discovered.
HOW DO I GET IN TOUCH WITH YOUR FRIEND AND HIS PICKER?
Wow! That is nice. Great Find. Do you know who Eli Faber was/is?
