if you get a ka-bar you should sharpen the clip on the blade make it look and feel sweet... i did that with my usmc one i love it...

I also vote KA-BAR. I agree with Nick but I wouldn't use serrations. They are are the bottom so they stake away the ability to do fine cutting tasks.

im not saying a seal pup is a bad knife (it is a great knife friend owns one) but there are other cost effective knives out there, like ka-bars... $50 for 7"inch's of heavy duty utility blade right there... i recommend the 1211 all black with tac sheath part serrated (if you like serrations i know some dont)... in your case were it may be used in wet conditions get the ones with the kraton handle and not the stacked leather, the stacked leather can deteriorate faster if not taken care of...

i'm only 13 and i have roughly 160 knives...around 80 of them being pretty decent...i love knives and i'm inspired by the proffesionals
