me, all the time... all my friends know i have knives, thats the only thing that makes me cool...LOL

ya i trade a couple times and when they showed up they couldent beleave a kid jest set up a weapons deal... it was really funny when i traded my 13" 1916 bayonet (be sure to check out the pic's on my pro.)

the problem is we jest cant go into a store and buy what ever we want... so i found a way around it and im willing to share if you pm me and promise me im not going to see you on the news...
Ya, most of my friends know also. But, if Im getting to know someone new or someone who I've known, just not as personally, I usually start them off saying im a big time shooter and gun enthusiast (which I am ) and once they get over that then its more acceptable for me to collect knives. Still, usually they are expecting something like a classic bright red victorinox and I pull out a balisong or benchmade push dagger or something lol.

Same with if im at like a family reunion type thing. Someone will be asking around to see if one of the adults has a knife and here I come to save the day with an "evil" tactical knife rather than the victorinox.

I know exactly what you mean. I hate picking out the coolest knife and your willing to give them your money for their knife and they wont do it because "your not responsible enough" or some B.S.
ya i skip that whole refusal step and get them online... they don't ask any questions, and send it to you...
ya same here. No one at my school accepts my hobbies. Except a friend or two. All of my friends thing I have too many knives. My mom doesn't approve at all. Thank god for my dad. He is the only adult i know who accepts my knife collection. All my family just thinks its weird. i dont know about you guys but whenever i tell people about knives they always think its for "stabbing someone" or for something violent. Anyways glad to hear there are others out there.
Daniel
its worse for me cuz i got mean knives... i have 2 7" Ka-Bars, 2 throwing knives, and a butterfly, and some tac. folders... i bring my ka-bar's and a friend when i buy/sell/trade on craigslist. you never know what kind of crap people now of days will pull. im not dangerous or any thing, i jest like to be ready if s**t hits the fan...
Haha...ya Ive gotten that reaction before where people think knives are evil and people that carry them are crazy. Some of my friends think my collection is cool, others think its weird. Ive tried to get some of my frineds into knife collecting but they cant imagine spending over $20 n a knife so they always end up buying some cheap flea market knife that breaks on them when they drop it. My Dad is also probably the most supportive of them. He has a couple benchmades and usually has some knife on him, but he thinks my collection is too much and over the top. My mom understands that this is my interest, but doesnt really like it. Especially some of the more bizzare knives like the 6inch cold steel ti-lite, benchmade push dagger, or karambits. Things like that bother her.
all my friend know that i have knives but they all say i spend too much on knives. I just tell them they dont understand
Yeah, they think I'm going to kill someone in a fight with it.
Or that it's incase I 'snap' or whatever.
I collect them because they look cool, their fun, and it gives me something to do. (Also the protection factor, I've had a knife pulled on me. I thought it was necessary I'm able to pull one out aswell.)
haha.
Haha. Wow, I dont think I have ever had anybody harass me over my leatherman before. Thats pretty insane.
Yea, I got a CRKT M16-10KZ (black tanto partially serrated), and used to carry it ALL the time (not as much since I have an Endura4 now, trade off with them.), so onetime I'm at church youthgroup, and one of the kids had wrapped the youth pastors truck in CSI tape. I was the only one with a knife to cut it off, plus when someone gets a package they call out, "Zach, got a knife?" :P you know I do!
wow they think a 960 scary theyed crap them self with one of my ka-bars...lol i wish i didnt trade my 13" inch bayonet (13" is the lenght of the blade not overal i call it "blood killer" same name as my ka-bars...lol)
The only one that ever gives me crap about it is my grandmother and younger kids. Other than that I'm in Virginia a lot of people carry knives.
