I was using a fawn in distress call on my caller to try to call up a coyote or bobcat.  I was in one of my shooting houses that I hunt deer from.  The shooting house is next to a fence along the property line with about a 185 yard open lane in front…Continue

Thanks William.  I wish it could talk and tell me its history between 1891 and 1930 when my father acquired it.  Who knows what stories it could tell!

As far as the Governor goes, I have had no experience with it.  I like the idea of the versatility that you get with it.  I do have two S&W's and like them both.  They are both fine guns.  A Model 637 Airweight .38 snub and a Model 317 Airlite .22 revolver.

Welcome to the group, William.  Glad to have you here.

I don't have an AR, I do have an SKS.  My shotgun is a Remington 1100.  I have eight Rugers, two S&W.  My deer rifle is a NEF Handi Rifle in .30-06.  It is definitely not expensive but does get the job done.  I have fired it 14 times at deer and coyotes and have put 12 deer and 2 coyotes on the ground.  I have a Nikon Buckmasters 3-9x40 scope on it.

I have a 1967 vintage Marlin 39A Golden Mountie .22.  But here is a link to my most prized gun.

William, that Governor is a great home defense weapon, my son in law has one.

You know, I didn't get April Fools punked all day yesterday until I was about ready to go to bed and I got April Fooled by Hog and Charles and Ruger buying Kel-Tec. Sigh . . . I love my iKC friends!

I only could find one story about Ruger buying Kel-Tec and that sounded a little bit like it could have been an April Fools joke.  Let's hope it is real.

HOLD THE PRESSES!!!  Ruger buys Kel-Tec deserves it's own discussion.  I love Ruger.  Kel-Tec has had some good stuff that they have not been able to produce enough of to get them on store shelves.  This could be really good news.

I have had my CC permit since I moved to Alabama (26 years ago).  Open carry is legal here but I prefer concealed.  Except when I am hunting or riding my 4 wheeler or just wandering the woods, then I strap a pistol on my hip.

Going to get my CC permit soon. I have carried before many times openly  but now that is getting to be a real hassle when some folks want to make a big issue of it even though it is very legal!

Great info Steve, my son has a couple of keltecs and he likes them,

My son was talking about getting a full auto weapon. I told him that I wouldn't do anything to throw up any red flags. That will be who gets targeted first.
