Comment by D ale on June 8, 2012 at 4:38 ... and check out the slot between the pivot hole & the spring hole. Whatever method used to blank out the blade ... wire EDM .. H2O jet .. ?? ... was not interrupted between the two. Only one entry hole that way .. I guess.

A closer look to the inside reveals an inherent weak point in this design. The area of the blade tang clearanced for the locking pin while in the closed position .. is soooo close .. to the area of the blade tang where the stop pin strikes .......... it simply leaves too little . imo .
It wouldn't take much lateral force to cause failure .. i.e. prying would snap the blade @ the narrow spot.
Looks sweet though .. & the price was right. If/when I make my own .. think I'll loose the little ears & move the stop pin back ........
