Palette knives...I was in the printing industry for 15yrs. the last five running the ink department so I definitely know the difference, just didn't know about the ink eraser.

Though I have heard people call them blood letting tools but I would just give them a funny look and walk away since they aren'tsharp enough for that.

Palette knife .. used for painting .. impasto technique ..

 

Ink erasures .. always put me in mind of primitive arrowheads .. commonly mistaken / mis-represented as medical instruments

You know Dale, now that I think about it I remember seeing them in artist oil painting sets. Now you've got me excited about finding more.
