- Well you're in the right place for friends and information about knives. You made a good first step by joining the "Beginner Collectors" group. Be sure to ask lots of questions.
Got to be extremely careful about counterfeit knives. There are a lot of folks being taken, by seemingly genuine articles. You've got to know what is supposed to come with a knife and the proper way they are packaged. I've seen "Clam-packed" knives that I know the genuine manufacturer never intended to have them packed that way. Others are almost impossible to detect, until you can really sit down and compare a genuine knife versus a counterfeit version, side by side.
