I enjoy the history of the cutlery industry. As a result, I've a few stampings ya just don't see everyday.

Finding/researching the varied stampings has been an enjoyable journey into the history of the cutlery industry. Along the way, I've been exposed to a wide variety of design approaches.

From that came an interest in the different approaches to locking a folder in place.

From there ... the design approaches for an automatic. Then ... assisted.

It's been a wild ride !!!

Thanks and glad for the return to "normalcy" in the Activity feed. Thumbnails are better, still a few sizing issues but overall better. Glad to hear from you and hope everything is better for you.

Thanks - My girl friend will be in charge of the two rowdies - she will have her hands full for a few days. Looking forward to the trips - Thanks again.

Just never did care for the celluloid material - looks bad and doesn't last.

And as others have said - It can damage other knives......

Great vacation Dale...thanks for askin...a little trouble gettin a rifle shipped from Cali to DC but worked out anyway. Beautiful country out there, daughter got a wk leave from the NSA to hang with us.

Gun show was fun...sold some stuff...bought some stuff.

Picked up three Old Timers, a Schrade 150t, Buck 119, an old camper w/stag scales (name-?), several other pocket knives since we chatted. Gotta get some stuff on the trade section so I can build up me fixed blades.

Been too busy to add pictures, Just did an Antique show yesterday (some great knives for sale out there), have two estate sales next week then the Pleasanton Antique show on the 16th.

I think I need another vacation!

As much as I like the "Viking" model, I think I'll put it up and carry this one in my bag.  (Still concerned about the rust factor of carrying it out in the world.)  No problem with it at home.

Picked me up another Bulldog Whittler.

4 1/8" "Thor" pattern.  2nd cut stag,  this one in stainless...

Now I have one of all 3.  Happy me.

Fine as frog hair. Went to the Palmetto Knife show today and met Gery Kennedy and Frank Stennett. Too bad that there aren't more events like that. May have to try and hit the Blade Show, this year...
