"Thank you very much my neighbor came over the other day wanting to sell it with a few old buck knives. We used it to clean under nails but was pretty sure that was not it's  purpose. "

"It's a "fruit knife" .. the spike thingie is for removing pits .. also used for removal of the meat of nuts."
