Hi Jay thanks for your interest in my book. I have copies for sale, Amazon has it, and Knife World sells it. Some bookstores might stock it but bookstores are few and far between these days.

I've got the 3.25 inch RR419 Black Pearl Sleeveboard whittler and it also has nail breaker blades, especially the main blade. I don't have an answer for you. My whittler has been opened and closed a couple hundred time and the spring is still a s strong as can be. What I can tell you is that not every Rough Rider suffers from this problem. Toby
