Hi Kylie, your pendant knife looks really cool. You mention pre-orders, but I couldn't find where to do this. I've probably missed something... I think bright coloured kydex would be best for me, so I wouldn't lose it once I'd unsheathed the knife!…

Choosing the correct Convex Edge

Hello Everyone.
I wanted to make a slide show to open a dialog about different edge geometries of swords. I did this for another forum on Swords, but its also relevant to knives and large choppers of any kinds

Here is a link to the video slideshow. Blade Geometry Slideshow on youtube which I will also link here as photos for ease of reading. The slide show is just a nice quick way to see where I am heading.… Continue

Thank you very much. I am thinking that 3mm thick blade can make a more sharp edge than 2mm. 2mm is very easy to restore by myself though.

Hey Kyley...thanks for the comment. Yeah the quote is from my buddy Scott Babb he is the Founder/Head Instructor for LIBRE FIGHTING ACADEMY. It's a boxing based knife-fighting system. One where we are the aggressor we don't wait until someone attacks, we attack first to foil their plans...a Samurai philosophy which could pose some problems in court.

At least here in the U.S.A even though I'm an Asst. Instructor in Karate, have skills with a blade, baton, etc...if someone pulled a knife on me I'd just shoot them. Doesn't mean I won't be arrested or have to stand trail.

It just means I don't fight fair because fighting isn't fair.

They did a folder last time so perhaps a fixed blade is the way to go.

Thanks for the input. We’re just testing the H2O’s @ the moment.

They also need to take into account how many people they really want to have the club knife. I think many member of many knife forums are Mora type people that drool over expensive ones but then go buy food for the week.

Indeed, you’ve touched on a point I feel strongly about. Is the intent to offer a status symbol .. a good cutlery deal .. a mix of both ??? My opinion … keep it affordable !!!

Perhaps they should look at blades made by members, or simply something thats not too expensive for the average member.

I’m sure all sources are open for consideration @ this point. Prospective suppliers need to be capable of maintaining quality std’s over this size production run.

The first vote should not be. WHAT? the first vote should be.. How Much?? its only commemorative anyway.

Yuppers, I’m a strong proponent for keeping it affordable. We’re just testing the H2O’s @ the moment !!!!

Add a can of Ren Wax to keep them nice and purdy and I also use a little bag of Silica gel to keep the moisture out ! You sure did a good list though! One doesn't even think of all the stuff that you use and accumulate.
