- I just want to thank everybody for welcoming me in to this group of knife makers. I really am just a raw beginner in the art of knife making or blade smithing. I teach martial arts & self protection for my living and learning how to make knives right now is my hobby which I hope some day as I collect more tools and have more time will become my passion. Blades Smith Dan Howel is my teacher in knife making & blade smithing. We both live next to each other here in the Granite State of New Hampshire. I have a long way to go yet before I think of my self even close to what you people can accomplish. All I have made so far is training blades for my system of martial arts. I made these out of aluminum. I have also made a lot of wooden training blades as well. Take care & if you would like more info on me please do check out my website www.FreedmansMethod.com
