Neck Knives

Posted on May 4, 2013 at 12:56 13 Comments

Knife users find all kinds of ways to carry their knives. Belt sheaths, loose in the pocket, knives with clips to hold the knife in or outside of the pocket, shoulder rigs, well the list goes on and on. Our forefathers, of yesteryear, wore neck knives. The knife sheath was held in place by a lanyard or some sort of necklace. I recently saw a survival expert on TV wareing one for his Bushcraft knife. The knife was a fixed blade, about 8" overall lenth. I have carried a knife in alot of…

I was wondering how many knives the majority of collectors on IKC, have purchased this year. Starting with Jan. 1, 2013. I have bought 4 and thats a little more than I usually buy, by this time of year. Oh, by the way, I just ordered another one. Well my birthdays coming up. LOL

Vintage Knives

Posted on December 7, 2012 at 13:29 15 Comments

I collect Vintage Knives and I'm sure alot of our members do too. It's fun collecting knives from the yester years. Some we have heard how well they were made and their performance in the feild was hard to beat. The old time construction and the amount of labor put into each one is hard to match in the knife world today. My question for ya'll is "Has anyone bought a vintage knife with a great reputation, to become a user knife". I would like to buy one of the old time knives of our…

Hey...my deepest sympathies Robert...you know that in our most troublesom moments ...we are not alone!

My prayers are sent for you and your family...May God shine a light and wrap you in his arms...bind your family in his love mercy and grace...and then you will know that you are not alone...he is the beginning and the end through it all...just learn to trust him. GOD BLESS YOU ROBERT and Your family...God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble...Psalm 46 verse 1

Hey Robert. Good luck with that. I've never made any home brew so I can't offer any advise but I'm one heck of a critic. LOL. In case you didn't catch that, it was my subtle way of saying "hey, pass some my way!" Guess I'll need to plan on doing the next knife show that pops up in LA. Talk to you soon, Jeff
