About Me
I served in the Army as a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division--HHC 2/506 Recon Pltn.--waaay back in the 1960's (63-66) and began collecting knives during that time.

I carried a stag handled Puma White Hunter--pre 64--during my service, making all of my parachute jumps with that knife strapped to my right leg. Unfortunately that awesome knife "walked" out of my house just a few short years ago. I still get a queasy feeling in the pit of my stomach, aching for the loss of that knife.

After the military I worked in the Horse Racing Industry, here in Southern California, for nearly 30 years. I worked in parking lot operations for Santa Anita, Hollywood Park, Los Alamitos and Pomona Fairplex Race Courses.

During all those years, while I was raising a family, I was picking up a knife or two here and there. Nothing particularly fancy. Primarily users. There has always been some type of sharpened steel on my person for as long as I can remember; dating back to when I was a boy carrying a Barlow pattern in my right front pocket. It has only been in the last year or so that the Knife Bug has really bitten me, though.

So, that's about it I guess. I'm really glad to have stumbled upon this community of like minded folks. It's nice to have a place to call home!
Interests
Knives, whittling, mountain biking, sunshine-surf-outdoors. And, of course, admiring pretty girls! Not necessarily in that order.
Other Hobbies
Collecting knives and carving walking sticks, staffs and canes.
