Ron James replied to Salvatore V.'s discussion serviceable Tomahawks? in the group The Modern Survivalist
"I will have to disagree to a point. A tomahawk is not made for cutting down trees. Tho I have made short work of 4 inch diameter ones.  For camp firewood, small saplings for shelter, cutting up deer and other such chores, a tomahawk cant…"

"I love the hawks from Keith at Great River Forge. I had him to take a med. American hawk and add a hammer pole to it. Cost a few years ago was about 65 and well worth it. You get to keep the look of the hawk, and use it for a lot more stuff. And if…"

Not every Martial Art mostly Japanese styles related to our training. I'm an Asst. Instrutor in Wado-Ryu Karate and my little boy Yoshi (10 yrs. old) is a Black-Belt too.
Yammani-Ryu is our weapons style...Sai and Bo (staff)...OSU!!! (KARATE EXPRESSION)
Going to enroll my boy in the Pedoy school of Escrima this summer. I've already taught him some basic skills in stick and knife fighting.

thank you for your comment on the benchmade mini-ambush video!

I definitely think a knife is the absolute LAST resort...at least the blade...you can really hurt someone if you punch then with the butt of that knife! I always carry a whistle with me as well!
