"Slade .. haven't heard/read  ya in awhile .. good to see ya back !!!   Say .. I had occassion to use one of THESE recently .. got terrific results .. clearancing the tang .. for the coil springs "stack height" .. take a look "

"Google "Enco Tools". They carry a large selection of drill bits. The hardest are solid carbide, brittle and expensive. For holes that do not need to be very precise, you can use carbide tipped masonary bits. They'll drill hardened…"

"My folder would be a Victorinox and the fixed blade would be either a Fallkniven F1 or H1. I love both of 'em. If I could carry a chopper of some kind, it would be a Gransfors Bruts Wildlife ax. A wire saw would also be pretty handy."
