What about rare knives?

I have a knife that is about 7-10 inches in length. It is made of Silver, and the sheath is very ornate silver. The sheath is very curved with what almost looks like a fish tail at the end. On the blade of the knife are 3 stars with the word Syria on it.Does anyone know anything at all about this type of knife and what it may be worth?See More

How long have you collected knives?: 1-2 years

Favorite Kind of Knives: I don't collect knives. I just have a question about a knife I found. It is about 7 0r 10 inches long, made of Silver and is curved . It has a very ornate sheath also made of Silver. On the blade it has 3 stars and says Syria. I know it was my deceased father in-law's, but I don't know anything else about it. Would you know where I could find out what it is and if it is worth anything?

About Me: I'm a mom of 4, grandma of 4. I have been married to my husband for 35+ years. I don't fish and hunt, nor do I eat meat, fish or poultry, however my husband and family do.
He's a hunter and fisherman, and loves anything to do with the outdoors.

Interests: I do like to hike, and both my husband and I love Muscle cars. We have 2 Pontiac GTO's, one is a red 1967 and the other is a 1969. We have always had some sort of muscle car, Mustangs, Chevelles, Cougars and even a 1974 Gran Torino Sport like Starsky's (however blue, not red and white)

Other Hobbies: With our cars, we like to show them and sometimes race them. I however also love to read. Give me a good book and you'll likely not hear form me until I'm done.
This isn't a hobby, but a way of life. We are both Christians and love the Lord with all our hearts. We love to be able to share the gospel with others and help them to see the need for the Lord.
