"Hi Hogg,  William Henry makes fine gentleman's pocket knives that are mostly out of my league. They all have exotic scales like mammoth tusk or presentation grade pearl or exotic woods, etc. Mostly I admire the design and fine workmanship.…"

"Terry, very nice to meet you. I was reading a little on your profile page and wondered about your love of William Henry Production knives. To be honest am not familiar with them I don't think. What types of knives do they or did they make?"

"Nakamura 1480 A very pretty knife I've never used but love the shape of. There is a little too much filler between the quince and the bolster on mine. I guess for the price you can't expect the precision of a William Henry. ledlover99"

About Me
I grew up with a pocket knife since I was about ten. (Lots of freedom for a boy in Saskatchewan in the late 50's.) Iv'e always found one so useful I can't be without one now. (Except when flying.) I design houses for a living and have a bit of an 'A' type personality. The fine workmanship as well as the beauty of a well made knife has a strong appeal. I like to built car models still, on occasion.
Interests
I think because I've always liked working with my hands and building things myself, I can really appreciate the skill that it takes to build a really fine knife. My family is older now so I might just give making one a try myself. I can just imagine how much you could spend on machinery! In the meantime I'll enjoy looking at a lot of, and owning a few of other guys creations.
Other Hobbies
Shooting. There's lots of nice guns out there too.I used to love beer. Now I love coffee instead. Warm places with warm water and colourful fish attract me. Places with beautiful old architecture are on my list of places to visit too. (Old as in 500 years and more.) Still listen to a lot of old rock. My family is my favourite hobby.

Things certainly do get busy and family comes first. But I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. By all means keep in touch!
