- That's terrific, you just never know what gets you going on collecting. Do you have pictures...well... I'll check your page and see! My first knife was an Imperial Fish Knife I bought with my own money at the local hardware store. I still have it although its missing one side. Here's to good collecting!

On the Emerson...yes, they release different colored G10 scales each year. This year, they offered a CQC7V with a digicamo. Unfortunately, I missed that one by a hair's breadth. Total bummer. Anyway, I love Emersons...but you might have guessed that much, eh?

On the Benchmade HK 14210, the blade thickness is .115. So...it's not quite as thin as a lot of Spydies...but it's also not thick. It's a superb "in between". Frankly, this is one of my favorite 2010 knives.
