Recently, I had the opportunity to chat with my friend Michael from www.droppointhunter.com The sentiment expressed in his email was just so true to the heart of all of us who are true users, collectors or creators of knives. I will send your responses to him or you can leave comments on his website.
Enough from me here is his email:

Memorial Day is a US Federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May. It was called Decoration Day, after the American Civil War, to commemorate the fallen Union soldiers of the Civil War. Southern womens organizations and southern schoolchildren decorated Confederate graves during the Civil War, but each region had its date mostly in May.
For those iKC members who do not live in the US, this day had been extended to honor all Americans who have died in all wars. It is a day of…Continue
It's a great day today and a very Happy Birthday to iKC ! Yes, just 3 years ago, iKnife Collector became a reality. From our earnest start it was destined to become a quality, friendly knife collecting community with the idea all members are bound together through their passion for knives.
Our founder was none other than, writer and publisher of the Cutlery Journal Scott King, who worked tirelessly in the early day to launch iKnife Collector. This was his vision, that all knife…Continue
On iKC we have an often used Feature called Events. Our hobby to a certain extent, in times both past and present depended on knife shows and events for companies and individuals to showcase the knives that were being produced for consumers. They served as a buying and selling event for sure. Now they also are a way for like minded iKC collectors to meet each other in person and talk about the hobby they love.
Think about it, every year certain Shows are can't miss, blockbuster type…Continue
A New Year is about to start and all of us hope your New Year is happy and healthy. 2012 promises to be an exciting year for knife collecting. new shows, new blades, new colors, new patterns and yes perhaps some new pricing!

Thanksgiving is a uniquely American tradition.
It was not called Thanksgiving at the time, but what we recognize as the first Thanksgiving feast was celebrated in 1621 by the pilgrims of Plymouth colony along with about 90 Wampanoag Indians.
The Pilgrims had suffered through a devastating winter in which nearly half their number died. Without the help of the Indians, which the Pilgrims were thankful for, all would have perished.
I am so very pleased to announce a selection for the 2011 iKnife Collector knife. Our selection is:
From GEC, a Tidioute w/ lanyard hole, Item Number 722111. The blade is 1095 steel and is a Spear blade. The knife will have Indian Choffee handles. The knife will also have a round shield that will say iKC. Along with the knife GEC will provide a Certificate of Authenticity(COA) and will say 2011. We expect a delivery date somewhere toward the end of January to the end of February. The…Continue
Name the person in the picture. Win.. nothing... except the admiration of your iKnife Collector Friends. I will give clues....
For a long time we at iKnife Collector have had or discussed in some form or another the ability to review knives for our membership. Many, many people, organizations, websites and YouTube users, do currently provide knife reviews. Some are good, some not so.
But as our membership continues to grow we felt this was an important thing to bring to our community. In doing that we created a group called A Sharper Review. In it we have attempted and will continue to attempt to standardize…Continue
