Great link thank you!
When it all comes down to it, it's a matter of preferance.
There always seems to be more and more survival experts poping up everywhere with their own ideas of survival and equipment.

Interesting, I disagree about the hiddentang/rat tail tang thing though. A well built knife is a well built knife no matter what way it's constructed. Is that guy seriously telling people that a randall won't hold up?
If that's right Craig, guess I'll be whittling myself out of a jam.

I feel, the best "survival knife" is, in part, decided by personal taste. And maybe the term should be "survival knives" I'd want a good fixed blade and a couple of good pocket knives.
Also, I believe it was B.R. Hughes (?) that once said " A survival knife is the one you happen to have on you when the you-know-what hits the fan.
Well Cesar, if I had to pick just one knife it would not be that one. It would be 15 inches overall and have a wide blade. You can see my survival knife on my home page pictures. It's the one in a tub of crawfish.
Great link, Cesar. He's got the perfect size knife and super sheath to carry it in.
