There was robbery/shoot-out last night at one of the big malls in Manila where my family and I were attending Mass in the upper floors. It was quite worrisome but knowing that in my pocket rests my Spyderco Manix 2 and the Boker Plus Credit Card Knife in my satchel gave me some confidence and reassurance that they're just there whenever I needed them. Thank God, there was no reason to use them and we all got home safe and sound.

Comment by Billy Oneale on January 27, 2013 at 19:49 You never know when things will get bad. I'm glad you all were safe.

Thank God your safe and that you did not have to make that decision to use them. Stay safe!
This type of thing seems to happen more and more, glad you were able to make it out OK and are safe. As I always say, stay prepared for anything. Sounds like you are!

I am grateful to God that you and your family are safe. I hope everyone at the mall is safe also. It is always nice to know that you have tools to help keep your loved ones safe with you. There is nothing worse than thinking "I wish I had brought my knife"
Thank God! He is gracious and merciful. You and your families safety are important to us, I am glad you are all well! Here in the South (US) the old saying is: "Never bring a knife too a gun fight!" But I say: "If the gun fight comes to you and your family is there, forget the knife and leave by the nearest exit!"
