Well the first of my #55s arrived today after being held for ransom at th post office!! So here are my thoughts, first i go back to my #56 Dogleg Jack a knife that i always wanted to slim down by losing the small spear point blade and center scale, well praise be GEC have done it for me i now have the ideal medium size one bladed jack knife,as follows, weight according to my kitchen scales 2oz (the #56 is 2-3/4 oz),blade centering perfect, walk & talk good with half stop, overall finish excellent, the only thing apart from a few passes on the strop and a little Ren wax is a bit of carefull file work to take the edge of the shoulders of the tang. Now i just have to wait for my Red jig bone spear blade to arrive..

Will do Jan, i figure it will get to me about mid Feb...

Let us know what you think about it. I will be sporting mine at the Gator Cutlery show tomorrow

That single bladed knife (pictured) is just about my mark, fortunately i can not find one at any of the places i buy from over there, though i think i am all bought out for a while so trading is a more likely option...

Take a look at some of those new Queen knives that the Daniel's family are producing up in Titusville. My favorites are in the Schatt & Morgan Keystone series. Here, check 'em out...
