It is so good to have friends who got your back!

Wow! That's about how I sum it up. What am I talking about? Well, the last two weeks.

Actually it is a blur now as I try to recount what's gone on. The thing that stands out in my mind are the storms. The horrible storms we've had pass through our parts down here in Alabama. I can't say life is returning to normal because so many people have lost their life, or had it totally tragically displaced. If you haven't seen this monster storm-check this out.

Here's the track going from Tuscaloosa to my area in NE Alabama.

My note here isn't really about the storms though. (My family is fine by the way. My oldest two kids were in Tuscaloosa when that mother of a tornado hit there, but thank God, they weren't harmed. My wife and youngest two daughters were clear across the state at the time and I was out of town on business trip, but fortunately she did the right thing and found a neighbor's basement to get in when that very same Tuscaloosa tornado came through our area- actually two miles south of our house. We are VERY fortunate and only had a few trees down.)

No, I'm compelled to write now because of the heart felt appreciation I have for all of you. Yes, you. While I hate to be "out of town" from our community here, life at iKC carried on. And while iKC doesn't totally run on auto-pilot, our members here stepped up and carried on!

Thank you for helping me out at a very busy and in some ways very weird time of my life. I think things have settled down now- Good Lord willing- and am back among my friends and co-workers here.

I'm so proud of our community and all the members who actively work, many daily, to keep iKC humming along. Thanks for having my back!

Scott

Finally watched complete story on the storm on some channel maybe NatGeo or something. That was scary stuff. They covered a whole bunch of storms that occurred in the last month and the destruction it caused was unbelievable, not to mention the incredible loss of life. Very scary stuff!
