Hello again i have been absent for some time,in fact with the coming of winter i become virtually housebound partly because riding my motorcycle in the cold is something i dont care to do,but mostly it is because of SAD or Seasonal Affective Disorder i am not sure if i am afflicted with it but i sure as heck hate the winter and i do not believe that buying a $300 light box will fool me into thinking it is summer, anyhoo yesterday i thought i would check out my friends on iKC and pretty soon i was back in the swing of things and checking out the great pics when the #55 Houndstooth caught my eye, now i have always liked the #56 Dogleg Jack as a sturdy EDC but wished it came in a single blade configuration, now joy of joys those wonderfull folk at GEC have answered my prayers cos it looks to me like the #55 and the #56 are built on the same frame. So i come to you fresh from Uncle Gregs site after ordering a beautiful red jig bone #55 all i have to do now is wait, but at least i have started to take an interest in our great obsession again,Sorry i have nattered on a bit...

Can someone answer a query for me ? One of the things i like about the #56 Dogleg is the way the blade when fully open is at a slight angle to the handle, ie as if it is not fully open, my query is the #55 the same ?

See how out of practise i am,as my old mate Ron pointed out i omitted the most important detail about my much anticipated 55 , it is of course a spearpoint...

Really good to hear you natter, my dear ol' friend!

I LOVE my new #55. It fits in my pocket, wears well enough in there that I could tell it was there. It is an easy pattern to use and fits my hand well. Of course mine is the wharnie :)

Good to see you again Bob!
I LOVE the gray winter time! Of course 98% of my genes are German. lol
Good to see you again Bob, sometimes it does take a great knife or movement by your favorite knife company or favorite knifemaker to get you excited and up off the couch. Now is the time to get in full swing, its a new year with a lot of promise and after all we are knife collectors!
