Thanksgiving is a uniquely American tradition.

It was not called Thanksgiving at the time, but what we recognize as the first Thanksgiving feast was celebrated in 1621 by the pilgrims of Plymouth colony along with about 90 Wampanoag Indians.

The Pilgrims had suffered through a devastating winter in which nearly half their number died. Without the help of the Indians, which the Pilgrims were thankful for,  all would have perished.

So its in that spirit of thanksgiving knife collectors, no matter where you live ..........................Happy Thanksgiving!

What are you really thankful for?

Giving life back to an old carving knife is an honorable thing to be doing today Kit.

Happy Thanksgiving to all here... here is what i have spent my morning doing...  Bringing back an old carving knife to life with some love, elbow grease and a great old whet stone.

I'm thankful for my family. But, my wife is my true soulmate. I could not exist without her. We've been married for over 43 years.  I thank God for her everyday.
