Comment by Stefan Schmalhaus on April 9, 2013 at 8:17 Yes, especially LionSteel and Tecnocut/Viper come up with very innovative knives. As a German I'm almost sorry to say this, but I consider Maniago the current capital of the European cutlery industry. Solingen has lost a lot of ground.
Comment by AlecsKnives on April 9, 2013 at 7:25 Nice, well done review. ( I even enjoyed the piano music). I, of course, want to get one...
The knives coming out of Maniago seem to be some of the best buys nowadays in terms of
quality vs price and this knife seems to support that line of thinking....
Thanks for doing such a nice review. - A
Comment by Jan Carter on March 3, 2013 at 8:13 This was one I had thought about adding to the list. After seeing this video it has firmly taken it's place on the "someday I will own one" list

It's one of of the gorgeous high end production knives out there in my opinion. If they made a left handed version I'd already be trying to think of ways to acquire the funds for one I think.
Quite interesting Stefan. Over all I quite agree I like the look of the knife. The handle design with ridges that wrap around and match absolutely do make it an elegant design. Comfortably could be a design you would use regularly and even for more "formal" occaisions. The use of the titanium as a material, coupled with the arch and the ridges make it, I would suspect, be much stronger than it even needs to be.
I think my only question mark is the selection of the blade steel, Elemax. There does seem to be some discussion concerning edge retention. It has been suggested it dulls easily, compared to other steels.
Thank you for the review overall it is quite a nice knife.
